How to Remove Negative Feedback
If you want to be a credible online seller you need to build a strong client list, and try to make them and other potential clients happy by delivering your stuff on time and by giving exact descriptions of your products.
However, you can never please everybody every time, and one evidence of this is the negative feedback system on online auction sites. Even if you are the most responsible and conscientious seller you know, forces beyond your control might result to a negative feedback from a customer.
The world is also not only populated by pleasant and understanding people. You might meet demanding customers who refuse to hear your side of the story and end up giving you a negative feedback.Sometimes you may get a legitimate complaint from a customer. If you are really unfortunate you might meet a customer who leaves negative comments just for the heck of it.
In any of these cases you can do the easiest thing to do, and that is leave a negative feedback of their own. Some people might say that this is just some sort of retaliation but others prefer to see it as a way of airing their side of the story, especially in cases when the customer was particularly difficult.
However, retaliation or not, a negative feedback can actually do more harm than good. People who see the negatives you have gotten or made may take this against you, especially if they are trying to avoid tying to get a negative feedback from you in the future.
So what then? What is the best thing to do, aside from leaving those often undeserved negative feedbacks on your profile?
You can actually contact the person who left that negative comment and make an agreement with him or her. This is usually the procedure in sites like eBay.
You can both pull down the negative feedbacks that you have placed on each other’s scores, and that will the end of that. No more negative feedbacks, an improved rating, problem solved. At best you will gain back the customer’s friendship, a good starting point for future agreements.
his usually works if the person on the other side is a reasonable person. But again, the world is not populated by reasonable people, as what you already know.
Basically this is the only thing that you can do to remove the negative feedback rating. If this doesn’t work you, firmly stand your ground and allow your future customers to judge your services for them selves, despite this negative rating. The better your performance is, the better your feedbacks and the lesser chance that you will be more negative ratings in the future. A few negative ratings won’t matter to potential clients if you have a high rating.
Also, your rating will not be the only thing that customers will, be looking at, although most often it will be the first. People would prefer talking to other people who have actually experienced your services, and this means potential customers may try to contact some of your previous clients and ask for feedback on how reliable you are.
